Helping Abbott Laboratories Shine in Vienna
Crossplatform is delighted to announce the successful delivery of a promotion for Abbot Laboratories and Jack Morton in association with Crossplatform partners Total Immersion.
The promotion, specially designed for Abbott Laboratories’ booth at the Vienna Symposium, is targeted at the medical profession and pharmaceutical distributors. It features an Augmented Reality competition encouraging delegates to display competition cards in front of a camera. One of Abbott’s four products is shown positioned on top of the card, orbited by a number of ‘lifestyle’ objects. Winners are rewarded with a firework display generated from computer graphics together with a special prize.
Crossplatform have played a key role in the development of 3D assets, providing software development for both the Augmented Reality and the competition engine; the company was also responsible for building the kiosks.
Nick Brown, Crossplatform’s co-founder comments, “The pharmaceuticals industry is notoriously competitive, and so the fact that Abbott have chosen to use augmented reality to help educate and entertain delegates marks an important step towards understanding the need to provide a distilled format for their target audience. Medics are often burdened with excessive volumes of information and a stimulating visual experience is worth a thousand words. Crossplatform are privileged to have provided the translation medium.”
